The Right to Lead by John C. Maxwell

For number of years John Maxwell writes full size books that are accompanied by the smaller gift sized books with nice graphics and focused rather on stories, quotations and simple truths. These smaller books are coffee table style of publications where we can easily leave it to our guests to enrich themselves while they wait for a meeting.

The Right to Lead is a beautiful little book in the tradition of the gift books from Maxwell that is easy to read, but makes you think about certain principles. Based on the necessity of the relationship of a leader, this book focuses on seven areas of courage and character: Action, Vision, Sacrifice, Risk, Determination, Service, and Integrity.

When I read the book, I always mark the pages, write into it, and underline good points. I am usually reluctant doing so in these gifts books because they are already done nicely, however, I could not resist this time and underlined somewhat good number of pages. Some of the quotes and principles were simply too good! Well, I am Maxwell fan, as you can tell, however in the same time I would confirm that some of the books are more repetition. This edition however makes sense and is really nicely wrapped. I loved this book.
